Polar Symposium 2007
Friday 9 March 2007
Groningen, Martiniplaza, The Netherlands
Outline
The 2007 Polar Symposium marks the scientific kick-off of the International Polar Year in The Netherlands - IPY•NL. It is organised by the national IPY committee in The Netherlands, in collaboration with the Netherlands Polar Programme of the NWO and the Netherlands SCAR Committee of the KNAW. The previous Polar Symposium was held in May 2004 in the Teylers Museum in Haarlem.
This one-day scientific symposium will give a forward look on research activities of The Netherlands during the IPY 2007/2008, and provide an insight in the results achieved in the Netherlands Polar Programme in the last few years.
On behalf of the organising parties we would like to invite you to
participate in the Polar Symposium 2007. Participants are invited to submit a
title for a poster contribution on polar research in the Netherlands (deadline
8
December 2006). Oral presentations will be by invitation only.
For more information on the symposium programme, practical information and
registration (including registering interest for a poster
contribution), please follow the links in the menu at the top right corner of
the page.
