| Secretariat | : | NGI |

Objective
ERASAGE is a partnership of 11 partners from 7 European countries, Israel and
Canada. ERASAGE focuses on research into the societal implications of genomics
(the ´ELSA research ´). This research is in its infancy: at the majority of
partners the project is still small and covers a very diverse range of
subjects. ERASAGE was started in May 2005 and runs to May 2010. The aim of
ERASAGE is the development of a sustainable partnership between partners to
realise synergy and convergence and to increase the quality and quantity of
ELSA research. ERASAGE primarily focuses on the exchange of information and
personnel and the development of quality standards. Parallel to this a
so-called strategic research agenda is being developed. Transnational
activities such as pilot programmes and joint or common calls will be developed
at a later stage. The Netherlands Genomics Initiative (NGI) is the coordinator
of this network; the day-to-day project management has been outsourced to the
Centre for Society and Genomics (CSG).
