Complexity-Net

European Network of Funding Agencies – Coordination of National Complexity Research and Training Activities

Secretariat : EW
Apply : No, a new round is (still) uncertain

Objective

The goal of Complexity-Net is for Europe to regain the ground lost to the United States in complexity and complex systems, an emergent and rapidly growing research field with a large technological potential. To accomplish this the Complexity-Net consortium will develop a plan for joint activities in research and research training, international cooperation, dissemination and the exploitation of the results.

Currently, the Complexity-Net consortium consists of 11 partners: ESPRC (United Kingdom, coordinator), FNRS (Belgium), MSTI (Denmark), EAS (Estonia), GSRT (Greece), NKTH (Hungary), IRCSET (Ireland), CNR (Italy), NWO (The Netherlands), FCT (Portugal) and MEC (Spain). Moreover, CNRS (France) and DFG (Germany) are involved in Complexity-Net. Complexity-Net started on September 1st 2006 and has a 3,5 year term.
