ERGO has extended reporting requirements
Due to the applicability demands posed with regards to the scientific results, the ERGO programme involves a widened range of reporting, knowledge transfer, and delivering 'knowledge tools'. As with any programme there are regular progress reports to send in and, just after finsishing the project, sending in a scientific final report and a final financial report is required. These report for the most part have a formal aim. They documentthe justification and efficacy of the subsidy.
For ERGO specifically, the following additional requirements are in place:

  • Attending the symposium in Utrecht, in February 2010, with an emphasis on 'science';
  • Attending the end symposium in Amsterdam, in February 2012, with an emphasis on 'applicability';
  • Filling out a questionaire on 'applicability' and, on the basis of the feedback received, reporting how the match and intereaction with users is being optimized;
  • Regular contacts with users (COGEM, ministries) about the specifications required for the end products/tools.

Forms for regular reporting can be found trough the option 'downloads' in the righthand menu on the Dutch language version of this page.
(Please note that regular reports on the umbrella project ('koepelproject') as a whole can be submitted electronically via IRIS. Reporting on sub-projects, that only have been submitted through IRIS as a part of a larger umbrella-project, as a consequence are not recognized by IRIS. For questions, please contact Vanessa Nieboer (v.nieboer@nwo.nl)

History
The first call to submit preliminary proposals was open from March 23rd 2006 until May 25th 2006. From early July 2006 untill August 31st, the call for full proposals UPON INVITATION ONLY, was open. This first round resulted in granting 5 proposals.

The second call opened in 2007 and in January 2008 another 3 proposals were granted. At the same time a third, smaller and faster call with more focus was commissioned. After preliminary interviews mid March with those who had expressed interest, the programme was open for proposals until April 24th 2008. In June 2008 3 projects were granted and a budget was set aside to address questions regarding the characteristics that require further questions during the ecological risk assessment.
