Objective

The aim of the (NWO) Shifts in Governance research programme is to build bridges across disciplines and promote interdisciplinary research agendas. It is meant to stimulate the comparison of different phenomena and to inspire conceptual and empirical work through cross-fertilization and collaborative learning among related disciplines.

The Shifts in Governance programme has the following four sub-themes:

  • multilevel governance
  • urban governance
  • cultures of governance
  • private and public responsibilities

Application

Applications can only be submitted by (senior) researchers associated with a Dutch research institution, in case recognized by NWO.
