Dissertation Grants Chemical Sciences

Programme that gives financial support to PhD students working at a project of the Council for Chemical Sciences, to encourage them to succesfully finish their PhD work.

Who can apply

Only PhD students working at a project of the Council for Chemical Sciences can apply.

What can be applied for

Chemical Sciences PhD students appointed at projects awarded before 1 April 2001 can apply for a grant: 1,362 euro if a declaration of approval concerning graduation can be submitted within six months after dismissal, or 454 euro if such a declaration can be submitted within a year. Chemical Sciences PhD students appointed at projects awarded after 1 April 2001 can apply for a personal bench fee, designed for graduation costs, attending conferences etc.

When can be applied

This grant can be applied for continuously.

Extra Information

Taking into consideration the reimbursement of graduation costs which the PhD student receives from the university or research institute where he/she works, the grant can never amount to more than the real graduation costs.
