The subsidy programme Network Subsidies of the Division for Medical and Health Research is designed to encourage the organisation of scientific conferences in the field of health care.
Who can apply
Organisers of a scientific conference in the Netherlands in the field of health care.
What can be applied for
Guarantee subsidy for a scientific meeting of between 2500 euro for a one-day meeting and 4500 euro for meetings of more than one day.
In specific cases the Division for Medical and Health Research may decide to act as the main financier of a conference. In that case the subsidy amount is not fixed in advance.
There is a preference for the first type of limited subsidy.
When can be applied
Applications for Network Subsidies can be submitted the whole year round, but three months before the meeting at the utmost.
The 2010 budget has been spent. Applications for 2011 can be submitted.
Extra Information
In case the Division for Medical and Health Research is requested to be the main financier of a scientific conference, there will be a stricter assessment of whether it fits the aims of the fund. In that case, the application must be submitted 6 months prior to the meeting.
Criteria
Proposed meetings are assessed according to: the extent to which they promote networks at the national level; nationwide accessibility; innovative intentions; active participation of young researchers. In the application the budget for the organisation of the conference must be clearly laid out. Particularly it must be stated whether and how other subsidies or finances for the conference have been found.
Procedure
Applications must be submitted 3 months prior to the meeting. More detailed information about the procedure and the criteria can be found in the brochure Network Subsidies.
Budget
The annual budget for this subsidy form is 100,000 euro.
