Traffic and Transport

Secretariat : MaGW
Apply : No, the subsidy is closed for applications

Objective
The research field Traffic and Transport addresses the issue of permanently growing mobility (both persons and goods), while at the same time several problems of scarcity put a limit on the possibilities of facilitating this growth. The stimulation programme Traffic and Transport is aimed at fundamental, multidisciplinary research into traffic and transport, research that serves a concrete social purpose and results in high-quality applied research for the benefit of government and businesses. In this stimulation programme of Connekt/NWO the fundamental issues are especially viewed as issues of behaviour, use and space.

It is divided into four themes:

  1. Junctions, spatial planning and accessibility.
  2. Improving the use of infrastructure.
  3. Automated vehicle conduction.
  4. Paying for mobility.
