Who can apply

Researchers employed by Dutch universities or by one of the NWO-institutes or KNAW-institutes.

What can be applied for

Grants for access to national computing facilities for three types of application:

 Computing time:

• Pilot projects [ ? ]
• Individual projects[ ? ]
• Programme applications [ ? ]
• Applications from institutes [ ? ]

When can be applied

Applications can be made the whole year round.

Criteria

The selection will take place according to both formal and intrinsic criteria.

Procedure

Applications can be submitted through standard forms via NWO’s Iris system. They will be dealt with according to the nature and size of the application.

The final decision will be made by the Committee for Scientific Use of Supercomputers (WGS), which is authorised to do this by the Board of the National Computing Facilities Foundation. The Committee for Scientific Use of Supercomputers discusses applications about 8 times a year. Grants are valid during one year from the starting date mentioned in the granting letter.
