The Complexity programme encourages research into complex systems and complex processes, for example infrastructure networks, the spread of disease, fluctuations in stock prices and climate changes.

The last Complexity meeting took place on 18 September 2014 at NWO in The Hague. The paper 'Grip on Complexity', that addresses the manageability of complex systems in society and science and offers a framework for a possible new transdisciplinary NWO research initiative, was presented to Jos Engelen.
